How accurate is it?

We found no published, peer-reviewed validation of this estimate. Watch estimates in general are reasonable for groups but can be several points off for individuals — see how accurate watch VO2max is.

No VO2max estimate. A scan of all 806 English Wahoo support articles (October 2026) found VO2 only as a training-zone term: Wahoo says MAP (best 5-min power) correlates with power at VO2max but does not report VO2max. The ELEMNT RIVAL watch is listed as discontinued; Wahoo no longer sells a watch. A Wahoo forum thread from July 2026 asking for VO2max had no official reply.
